Three years ago, 98 people died when the Champlain Towers South condominium in Surfside collapsed into a tangled heap of concrete and steel.

Since then, Florida lawmakers have taken action to pass stricter inspection requirements, new condo association funding rules, and transparency mandates for building reports.
