Legislative Session Review:  The 2024 Florida Legislative Session is in the books.  285 bills were passed during the Session, and have either made it to the Governor’s desk or are in the process of being transmitted to the Governor.  The Session started as Governor DeSantis was on the presidential campaign trail in Iowa, and the priorities of the House were H.B. 1 and H.B. 3, both dealing with social media.  While the Governor vetoed H.B. 1 because of concerns that it might not pass legal muster, components of that bill were then amended to H.B. 3.  The Governor will have bills presented to him from now until mid-June, and all bills need to be acted upon by June 30.
