Experts say the number of human trafficking victims worldwide is staggering.

The International Labour Organization and the Walk Free Foundation, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration, released Global Estimates of Modern Slavery in September 2017.

This report estimates that, at any given time in 2016, approximately 24.9 million people were in forced labor.

January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month and raising awareness is key in the fight against human trafficking, which occurs in cities, suburbs, and rural areas throughout the U.S.

Victims can be any age, gender, ethnicity, or socioeconomic background.

How can we, as a community, become more aware of human trafficking and what can we do to help reduce those numbers?
