Every week in Florida, 264 women and men will be diagnosed with breast cancer, 93 will be diagnosed with late stage disease, and 52 will lose their lives, according to Susan G. Komen Florida. We explore new policies and community care initiatives to fight cancer, including new legislation in Florida that would expand health care choices to those fighting cancer. House Bill 261 would allow individuals to choose the medication that best works for them.
