- The Sunken Gardens are built down into an ancient sinkhole. At its deepest point, it’s 15 feet below the street level.
- You can find exotic plants from around the world and plenty of animals, including their iconic flock of pink flamingos.
- The gardens were first built in 1903 and became one of Florida’s original roadside attractions by the 1930s.
- The gardens are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 4:30 p.m.
