OCALA, Fla. — Almost a year has passed since the grisly murders of 29-year old Ariel Prim and her husband Robert Cooper.

Ocala Police Department stated the case has gone cold, with no suspects at hand. On Tuesday, the murdered couple's parents came down from New York State to see the murder scene for the very first time.

Lisa Weinmann and her husband Bill Prim came for several reasons, including trying to get some closure after months of suffering and depression caused by the fire that took place on July 28, 2018.

"Whoever did this should rot in hell," said Weinmann. "Both of those kids were raised good, and didn't deserve this."

Weinmann and Prim visited with the Ocala Police Department detective handling the case.

They said the police were not able to give them much information, but did tell them that their son-in-law died after being shot in the head.

"Now that they have it as a homicide, they have more detectives into it," Prim said.

The murder happened in July of 2018, but the cause of death was not determined until December, and the deaths were not ruled homicides until March of this year.

A $5,000 crime stopper reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
