APOPKA, Fla. — A New England-style joint called the Nauti Lobstah triggers memories of home for many Central Floridians. The restaurant has taken over The Catfish Place restaurant, which was an Apopka staple for decades.
Under new ownership since 2021, the Nauti Lobstah prides itself on keeping the regulars while attracting folks from all over Florida.
Executive Chef and owner Mike Rumplik, who grew up in Rhode Island, said perfecting seafood is what he does best, and he’s thrilled to get to share it with the Apopka community.
“[We’re doing] all the things that we grew up on and we’re excited to have here,” Chef said he prepared a dish.
The Nauti Lobstah went viral pretty quickly after touting its roll as “the biggest lobster roll in Florida.”
“Two pounds, two feet!” Chef said proudly.
He’s now sharing the recipe and technique for this huge feast. Let’s cook!
