- It's set to debut in time for Disney World's 50th anniversary
The official name was revealed Thursday, a day ahead of Disney's D23 Expo in California.
The ride's name differs slightly from a similar attraction at Shanghai Disneyland called Tron Lightcycle Power Run.
Along with Thursday's announcement, Disney shared a first look at the Tron ride vehicle. Riders will board the two-wheeled vehicle called light cycles and race through a "digital world."
The ride is located in the Tomorrowland section of the park, next to Space Mountain.
Construction has certainly progressed. Here's what the ride looked like in July, with most of the track installed.
Tron Lightcycle Run is set to open in time for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary in 2021.
