ORLANDO, Fla. -- SeaWorld Orlando invited the media to tour the construction site of its upcoming Sesame Street land.
The new land, which is set to open this spring, will feature recreations from the popular children's TV series.
Here are five things you need to know about the land:
1. The themed-land will occupy a 6-acre section of SeaWorld Orlando
2. The land, which used to be Shamu's Happy Harbor, will feature 6 newly-themed attractions, including a family-friendly steel coaster and a vertical drop ride.
3. Sesame Street land will have dry and wet play areas for children.
4. Children can visit recreated sets from the TV series, including Mr. Hooper's store and the 123 stoop. "We have moments, like just getting to see Big Bird and meeting him at his nest," creative principal Amanda Trauger said. "And that's something you can't really do anywhere else."
5. The land will aslo have a daily parade, a first for SeaWorld Orlando.
