ORLANDO, Fla. — The company behind the Orlando Eye and the Starflyer is promising new attractions for International Drive that will once again change the skyline in the attractions area.

Spectrum News anchor Allison Walker Torres confirmed with Unicorp president Chuck Whittall Wednesday that Unicorp is working on bringing a slew of new projects to the I-Drive area. 

Those projects include:

• The world's tallest double slingshot ride — there's a slingshot ride right now at Magical Midway on North International Drive, which shoots two people over 390 feet in the air. Now that ride is already considered the tallest in the world. So this ride will be even taller?
  
  
• The world's tallest drop ride — Currently the title of "world's tallest drop tower" belongs to Zumanjaro at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey — which is 415 feet tall. Of course, Whittall could always be talking about the Big Shot in Las Vegas. That tower is only 160 feet tall — but it sits on top of the Stratosphere Tower, which is 921 feet tall!

Whittall did not make clear where precisely these new thrill rides will be built.

Unicorp is responsible for ICON 360. That's the complex that has the ICON Orlando wheel (formerly known as the Orlando Eye), Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Sea Life Aquarium and more. The Starflyer is in that area. 

Whittall also said Unicorp is looking to build some 1,500 new hotel rooms in the I-Drive area.
