ORLANDO, Fla. -- Toy Story Land, which opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios in late June, is a sensory overload.

The land is designed to make guests feel as though they've shrunk to the size of a toy as they explore Andy's backyard.

And there are dozens of little details throughout the land that help make the effect work. 

Take, for example, the larger-than-life Woody figure that greets visitors at the entrance. Or, the giant figures of Jesse and Rex, which stand on top of toy blocks while stringing up Christmas lights.

The plants resemble gigantic blades of grass (remember, you're the size of a toy). 

There are also benches made of used popsicle sticks and dominoes. The fences are made of K'Nex. The lamp posts are Tinkertoys. Andy's large footprints leave their mark on the pathways.

Elsewhere in the land, Green Army Men march to and fro, interacting with the honorary toys (guests) during their visit.

"The Green Army Men drum corps, which is a drum corps designed just for Andy's backyard, they do all these choreographed patterns," said Tom Vanzzana, a show director for Walt Disney World. "But then they just break apart and ask you to play along with them."

Slinky Dog Dash, one of the new attractions, is a family-friendly coaster that features a few twists and turns and a mid-ride launch.

Keep your eyes peeled as you make your way through the queue for several hidden gems. You'll find Andy's plans for the coaster -- drawn in crayon, of course. The top of the load area includes the box to the Dash & Dodge Mega Coaster Kit.

While you wait, there's the Play Disney Parks App to pass the time. Guests can use their mobile phones to access interactive games and Disney trivia.

There's a special one just for the Slinky Dog Dash queue.

"We gravitate around the concept of wait time becoming play time," said Dan Soto, the company's vice president of digital experience. "What's great about this app is it's designed to interact with the physical environment around you."

At the start of Slinky Dog Dash, you'll find Rex's original toy box. It features a price tag from Al's Toy Barn. The numbers, $19.95, represent the release date of the first "Toy Story" film.

Over at Alien Swirling Saucers, the land's other new attraction, a giant blaster gun from Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin sits in the queue.

The 11-acre land is the largest expansion in the park's history. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which is being built next door, will easily claim that title in 2019, though.

Two other attractions are on tap for Hollywood Studios next year.

A Mickey Mouse-themed ride called Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway is set to open at the former site of The Great Movie Ride. And a new show featuring the characters from "Cars" will make its debut.
