MOUNT DORA, Fla. — A Mount Dora family lost their beloved pet “Tortellini.”

He's a 10-year old, 50-pound tortoise. It apparently dug underneath a fence to escape, stopping only to eat a mango snack along the way.

The tortoise was given as a gift to Florida State University senior Grace Altenburg when she was only in grade school.

A recent video shows the tortoise playing a game of “tag” with the family's Australian Shepherd. The two are apparently “BFFs” and have never left each other's side.

On social media, the video has received more than 5,000 hits, and the entire Lake Gertrude neighborhood of Mount Dora is on the lookout and actively seeking “Tortellini.”
