Jaclyn Harold is a multimedia journalist at Spectrum News 13. Originally from Fort Lauderdale, she grew up shy and soft-spoken, but eventually found her voice at Florida A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Graphic Design.
In 2019, Jaclyn began her career at KAAL TV (ABC 6 News) in Rochester, Minnesota, where she worked as a multimedia journalist specializing in crime, severe weather, and 2020 election coverage. In 2022, she returned to her native Florida to work at Thomasville WCTV Eyewitness News in Tallahassee as a bureau reporter and a morning anchor/segment host. There, she fine-tuned her skills for covering breaking news, crime, court, and politics, though ultimately found that her true passion lies in telling the stories of everyday people.
In April of 2023, Jaclyn began her current position at Spectrum News 13 as a multimedia journalist. She hopes to establish herself as a trustworthy source of news for Orlando residents and cultivate space for community members to comfortably share their stories with her.
When she’s not working, Jaclyn enjoys trying new restaurants (as long as there are tacos, pizza or steak somewhere on the menu) and exploring the outdoors. She's always open to learning about new places to visit and opportunities to connect with people in the community. You can find her on Instagram at @JaclynMariah_.
