She uses a host of unique and innovative ways to get through to her students to create lifelong learners.
It's important to note that many of the images and videos she shared with us are from before the pandemic started.
"You find a song or a TikTok and you bring it in and incorporate it in some way shape or form," said Hoosac, who teaches fourth graders math and science at Sunrise Elementary School in Ocala.
When asked how she mixes things up for her students, she said, "You'd be surprised. Math is embedded in so much. If you get creative it is possible and then we're all reading teachers. Reading is in all subjects so incorporating that — integrating that reading into that science into that math."
To say Hoosac can relate to her students is an understatement.
"Another cool fact is that I actually went to school here when it first opened," she said. "Also a lot of my former teachers were then my co-workers so that was cool as well."
Hoosac says the relationships she builds with her students is really key in getting through to them too.
"It's not a job for me. It truly is a calling," she said. "I'm very passionate about what I do. Here I am. God had a plan and I'm here for it."
