A woman who was walking along Florida Park Drive on May 29 was shot in the chin with a BB gun, according to a Flagler County Sheriff's Office report.
The woman was walking near the intersection of Florida Park Drive and Fleetwood Drive, in Palm Coast, on her way to James F. Holland Memorial Park.
The victim said that while she was at the intersection, she looked south and saw a juvenile carrying a BB rifle. Shortly after seeing the juvenile, was struck on the chin.
Then the male teenager ran, the woman told deputies.
The victim sought medical treatment, and it was discovered she still had a BB lodged in her chin. She was taken to the hospital to have it removed.
This investigation is ongoing.
