TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A "Jersey Boys" production has arrived on the Space Coast.
- When Broadway shows go on tour, local theaters have to wait — and fight hard — to get the license to run their own version of it. Titusville Playhouse officials say they are only the second theater in Central Florida to get the rights to perform the smash hit after the latest tour.
- The Titusville Playhouse has never had a seven-week run before, so "Jersey Boys" is its longest run ever.
- Jake Aboyoun plays Frankie Valli, the lead singer of the Four Seasons. Landing this role is in his wiring. “I grew up in North Jersey, right near Belleville, where the Four Seasons was created. And my mom’s name is Sherry. She was named after the song.”
- Aboyoun says the most challenging part of the show is also his favorite. “(The songs) 'Sherry,’ ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry,’ and ‘Walk Like a Man’ happen back-to-back. It’s like running a marathon.”
- "Jersey Boys" is running a total of 29 times over seven weeks. The first show of this production at the Titusville Playhouse was staged Jan. 10, and it continues through Feb. 23, 2025.
