Throughout the day on Friday, people were turned away as they showed up to the Social Security office in downtown Orlando.

Betty Vasquez took off work to take her parents to the Social Security office in downtown Orlando to show some documentation, which has to be done in person, only to realize it was closed.

“They request that — you cannot send photocopies by mail, they have to bring it in person, so that’s the only way to do that,” said Vasquez.

All Social Security offices are expected to reopen on Monday, as the tech problems are resolved.

“I’ll have to figure out what other day I could do that, but the errand has been delayed now - we don’t know what time, what day,” said Vasquez.

Even if Social Security offices reopen on Monday, officials warned there could be delays due to a backlog of people who were turned away on Friday.

“I could take another day off work, but what can we do?" Vasquez said. "Today’s the day we chose to do that, and it’s closed."
