KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A theme park jam-packed with childlike wonder is opening its gates to the public this holiday season.
Give Kids The World Village is a resort and attraction for children who are critically ill. For one week, the little warriors get to take their families on an all-expenses paid trip to the “magical” resort.
- Give Kids The World is exclusively for invited guests, except for the Christmas season, when everyone is encouraged to attend.
- The property in Kissimmee is a full-on attraction meant to rival your favorite theme park. The holiday light installation began in August, and the place is now decked out in 1.5 million lights.
- This year, GKTW has VIP tours hosted by President and Chief Executive Officer Pam Landwirth. Other ticketed offerings include Festive Favorites: An Evening of Movies and Music and Ice Cream for Breakfast with Santa.
- If you attend any of the holiday happenings, proceeds will help fund weeklong, cost-free vacations for the special children and their loved ones. They come from 77 countries.
- Check out the village’s official website for a lineup of the holiday events.
