Some area theme parks and attractions are starting to reopen after Hurricane Milton barreled through Florida.

THEME PARKS AND ATTRACTIONS 

  • Walt Disney World
    • Disney's theme parks and Disney Springs remain closed on Oct. 10.
    • This includes the cancellation of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom park on Thursday, October 10. Event tickets will be refunded.
    • Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, October 13.
  • Universal Orlando will be welcoming back guests as it returns to normal operations across all its theme parks, CityWalk and Halloween Horror Nights. Guests can visit the website and social channels for more information. 
  • SeaWorld Orlando will resume normal operations on Oct. 11. Spooktacular and Howl-O-Scream are cancelled on Friday. 
  • LEGOLAND Florida is closing all park operations from Wednesday, Oct. 9, through Thursday, Oct. 10.
    • At this time, LEGOLAND Hotel will remain open at a limited capacity.
  • Fun Spot America Orlando and Kissimmee locations will be reopening Thursday, Oct. 10 at 3 p.m.
  • Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10 because of expected severe weather from Hurricane Milton. During this closure, guests will not be permitted onto visitor complex grounds. All reservations for those days are canceled, and purchased reservations will be refunded automatically within one billing cycle. If your Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex tickets were bought via third-party suppliers, travel agents, or tour operators, please get in touch with them directly.

ZOOS, AQUARIUMS AND MORE

  • Gatorland will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday for the safety of the animals and guests. Currently, the park's Gators, Ghosts and Goblins Halloween Event is still scheduled for Oct. 12 and 13.
  • Brevard Zoo Will be opening today at 11 a.m. following a thorough assessment of our animal residents and grounds in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. We're thankful to share that our staff and animal residents are safe and well. Boo at the Zoo, our annual family friendly Halloween event, will also be taking place as planned on Saturday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 13.
  • Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will reopen Saturday, Oct. 12, at 9 a.m. after being temporarily closed due to Hurricane Milton. Zoo Boo Bash, which was scheduled to start this weekend, will kick off Oct. 19-20, and the celebration will continue Oct. 26-27.
  • Clearwater Marine Aquarium is still closed while recovering from the impacts of Hurricane Helene. The aquarium is moving equipment and animal habitats to higher ground and has formed a “ride-out team” to help keep the animals safe.
  • The Florida Aquarium will reopen to the public on Monday, October 14 at 9:30 a.m., resuming its normal operating hours.
  • Dezerland Park plans to close Wednesday, Oct. 9. Reopening information will be shared online. 
  • The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has canceled and postponed several shows through Friday, Oct. 11.

  • ICON Park has power and some restaurants and attractions will resume operations today. Brother Jimmy’s BBQ will open at 2 p.m. and Tin Roof will open at 5 p.m. today. Museum of Illusions is expected to resume normal operations tomorrow.
