Disney has announced a new interactive mobile app for Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
- Disney to launch new interactive parks app
- Guests will be able to access activities only available in the parks
- Play Disney Parks app will be free to download
Set to launch this summer, the Play Disney Parks app will let guests access experiences only available in the theme parks.
Using the app, guests will be able to play with family and friends through activities that interact with the surrounding environment.
“This is just the latest way we are making a visit to our parks even more fun and memorable in new and innovative ways,” wrote Thomas Smith in a post on the Disney Parks Blog.
The Play Disney Parks app will be free to download and made available for iOS and Android devices.
Additional details about the new app will be released this summer, according to Disney.
Guests will still be able to use the My Disney Experience app, which launched for Disney World in 2013.
With that app, guests can check-in online, get directions, check wait times for attractions and place food orders with mobile ordering.
