Another draw for Orlando City (2-2-4, 10 points) over the weekend, the team’s fourth this season—a point being salvaged when Carlos Rivas scored his first MLS goal in the 90th minute—the team starting to build a gritty identity, posing threats all the way up to the final seconds of play.

A situation that coach Adrian Heath says he would like to see less of.

“I hope that we win the games comfortably beforehand [not waiting for the final moments],” Heath said.

“But I think the one thing I’ve seen in this group this year that we didn’t have last year was  when we played poorly last year we got beat quite heavily –a few three and fours and I don’t think that’s going to happen now. I think that this group they go in there and dig in and we have a bit more quality to actually hurt teams when we do get opportunities.”

They’ll have their next opportunity to earn three points on Friday as the Lions host New York Red Bulls—marking this first play of the new month.

The group ready to put April behind them as they only notched one win, racked up multiple controversial calls and severed injuries.

“A couple things have gone good for us but quite a bit gone against us,” Heath explained. “But hey we have five months to go—it’s going to be a long way to go but they say they even themselves out so we’ve got some big decisions coming our way.”

On Monday number 10, Kaka, returned to team practices after previously missing games for a groin injury. He is expected to be healthy and play in Friday’s contest after previously missing five games this season with injury.
