The top Central Florida high school softball teams in Central Florida, as selected by the Bright House Sports Network staff:
1. West Orange (22-1) – Georgia commit Lauren Mathis has allowed only one earned run in 89 innings this season.
2. Viera (20-1) – Hawks close the regular season with a game against Rockledge Wednesday night on BHSN.
3. Hagerty (19-2) – Huskies advanced to the semifinals of the Kissimmee Klassic before the remainder of the tournament was rained out.
4. Winter Springs (17-4) – Bears went 2-1 at the Kissimmee Klassic with their lone loss coming 3-2 in extra innings to nationally ranked North Fort Myers.
5. Boone (17-2) – Braves have won seven straight and climbed into the top 10 of the latest 9A state rankings.
6. Spruce Creek (17-4) – Hawks recorded a pair of shutouts last week in wins against Seabreeze and Space Coast.
7. Rockledge (20-2) – Raiders play for a share of the Cape Coast Conference championship in a matchup with No. 2 Viera on Wednesday.
8. Timber Creek (15-5) – Wolves close the regular season with games against Hagerty and East River this week.
9. St. Cloud (12-7) – Briana Rodriguez drove in six runs as the Bulldogs rallied to beat 4A No. 1 Bishop Verot 14-13.
10. South Sumter (16-2) – Raiders are currently the No. 2 team in Class 5A behind Coral Springs Charter.
