The Bartow High varsity coed cheerleading team took over Walt Disney World this weekend.

The Yellow Jackets won the Universal Cheerleaders Association national title, the program's second national championship. Bartow claimed the large varsity coed division title at UCA's National High School Cheerleading Championships.

Bartow was 3.35 points better than runner-ups Graves County High School from Kentucky.

The previous weekend, Bartow won it's third-straight state title and fourth overall. They claimed their first national championship in 2012.

Other area teams competed at the national competition. Strawberry Crest was third in the small varsity coed division; Winter Park finished seventh in the Division I medium varsity division; Bishop Moore was ninth in the Division II medium varsity division; Manatee finished ninth in the Division I super varsity division.
