It was a tale of two halves as the Poinciana Eagles jumped out to an early 39-25 lead at half only to have the Osceola Kowboys outscore the Eagles 50-36 in the second half sending the game to overtime. The Eagles pulled away and won 93-80 on a thrilling BHSN Game of the Week Wednesday night in Kissimmee in front of a packed crowd.

Eagles senior guard Nate Louis led all scorers with 27 points and grabbed 3 rebounds on his way to being named the Bright House Sports Network Player of the Game. Louis helped send the game to overtime when he knocked down two straight free throws, tying the game at 75 and was a perfect 4 fior 4 in overtime as Poinciana finished the game on a 16-0 run.

The Kowboys were led by juniors Brady Fernandes and Tevin Florent who both scored 19 points in the loss. Marquis Duncanson (12 points), Frankie Fabian (11 points) and Antwuan Manning (10 points) helped the Kowboys take the lead in the second half after being down by as many as 15 points in the first half.

Poinciana also had five players score in double figures on the night including Brandon Murat (21 points), Rene Alexander (11 points), Taron Mallard (11 points) and Kimar Edwards (10 points).

The loss drops Osceola to 17-7 on the season while Poinciana improves to 20-4 and captures the 2015-16 Orange Belt Conference title for the second-straight season.
