During the summer months, BHSN will be revisiting some of our best Athletes of the Week from the 2014-2015 school season to catch up on what’s new.

Back in March, we introduced you to Cameron Peppiatt, a senior pitcher for Oviedo, who just threw a perfect game against Winter Springs. Two months later Peppiatt found himself getting the ball to start the 7A State title game, a game he was not surprised the Lions were playing in.

"With the team we had, and the talent we had, it was pretty ridiculous, from there it was only going to go up," Cameron said, "Maybe no more perfect games or anything like that, but for the winning and all of that, winning a state championship is a lot better than throwing a perfect game if you ask me"

Oviedo claimed their first baseball state title in school history with a 9-5 win over Sarasota.

"We all wanted it, we worked for it everyday, everyday we were out here, this was pretty much our life outside of school for the couple months we were in baseball season, and knowing all the work paid off and we did it is fantastic."
