Olympia High School senior Emily Headley loves running more than anything else.

“One of my favorite things ever, is saying I just ran 15 miles. And then they always ask without stopping? And I’m like yea, and I didn’t really have to get a water break, I was fine. I just love being able to say I can do this, I can go this far or I can go this fast,” said Headley.

Headley is committed to run cross country for the Clemson Tigers next season after producing a unique recruiting video that highlighted not only her talents, but her personality as well.

“I wanted to stand out and do something different.”

And this isn’t the first time Headley has gone in front of the camera, far from it. Emily has spent the last two years as the anchor on Titan TV, and star of several class video projects – all laced with her special brand of humor.

“I feel like I am just kind of comfortable with who I am. I am definitely very weird and I accept that, and definitely people are not all the time going to like the humor that I go for and stuff like that, but for the most part I get a good feedback and good reaction.”

It's the combination of athleticism, intelligence, and personality that recently had Headley named Bright House Network's David Logan Scholarship winner in Central Florida. For the full story on the senior stand-out, click on the video link.
