For the seventh time in the last eight years, the Vero Beach Indians came into the lacrosse state finals as the favorite and took home the first place trophy with an 11-8 victory over Ponte Vedra.

The win pushed the Indians win-streak over in-state opponents to an outstanding 140 games. Vero Beach was led by junior midfielder Megan Gorman who scored 5 goals including three in the second half en route to being named the BHSN Player of the Game.

The boys game featured the undefeated St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders against the two-time defending champion Highlanders from Lake Highland Prep. After trailing 5-4 heading into the half, the Highlanders scored seven times to take the lead and never looked back winning 13-11.

The Raiders were led by junior Louie Yovino who chipped in five goals. LHP was paced by junior Jackson Colling who scored 4 goals and was named the BHSN Player of the Game. The title was the third consecutive for the Highlanders and their fourth in the last five years.
