The second meeting between Lake Highland Prep and Timber Creek in the girls lacrosse playoffs ended nearly the same way as the first meeting, except the Wolves were able to come out on top 9-8 to advance to the next round. The Highlanders and Wolves exchanged goals in the first half with both goalies coming up with tremendous saves to keep the score low at 3-3.

Lake Highland took a 5-3 lead early in the second half on goals by juniors Brailey Faris and Anna Rotatori, but Timber Creek kept the game close as senior All-American Ellie Yenor woke up in the second half and scored four of her teams' six second half goals.

The Highlanders took an 8-5  with just under nine minutes remaining after junior Sophie Henner took an assist from sophomore Valarie Strobel off of free position chance. But it was Timber Creek senior Sabrina Guerrero who came up big in the final minutes scoring two goals including the game-winner with just :45 left on the clock and adding an assist to Yenor that tied the game.

Lake Highland falls to 18-4 on the season, while Timber Creek improves to 17-3 and advances to the next round to take on Olympia who defeated Newsome, 13-7.
