The Winter Park Wildcats used a 5-goal performance from junior attackman Alex Greear to pull away in the second quarter from the Oviedo Lions en route to a 16-12 victory.
After playing to a 2-2 tie in the first quarter, the Wildcats pulled away when they scored six consecutive goals to take an 8-3 lead late in the second quarter.
Senior attackman Thatcher Clark added 2 goals and 4 assists for Winter Park while senior attackman Rylan Kortus led the Lions with 5 goals and 2 assists.
The loss snaps a 5-game winning streak for Oviedo and drops them to 10-6 on the season, while Winter Park improves to 9-5 on the year.
