It’s an elite group of wrestlers that can claim five state titles to their name, but Osceola’s Fox Baldwin can do just that.

“I want other people to know that if you are in this county, if you are in this area, you can do it. Florida is not known for wrestling and I was able to do it,” said Fox, the first five time winner from Central Florida.

Baldwin’s expertise on the mat extends farther than Florida.  After winning at state, Baldwin had a plane to catch to wrestle for Team USA at the national Dapper Dan Classic. He won there too.

“I feel that just the amount of people that put time into me, and help me reach my goals, I just have to do it for them. My father, my mom, my coaches, and my girlfriend, they all came up with me to the Dapper Dan, and they were all there watching. It felt so good to be supported by a big group of people that flew up just as I did, right after my state finals match, hopped on a plane, and went up to watch me – I had to do it for them. I had to win one more for them, let them sleep with smiles on their face and just enjoy moments with me of success.”

Five state titles to his name is only the beginning.  An international schedule over the summer and come fall, Baldwin to exchange his Osceola singlet for a University of Virginia one. His goals, as lofty as ever.

“When I go to the University of Virginia, my goal is to win 4 NCAA titles, and help lead University of Virginia to their first team title, NCAA title. And just to always be the best training partner and athlete for my coaches.”

If his time at Osceola tells you anything, it’s that whatever Fox works for – he gets.
