1. Mainland (10-1) – Bucs started slow against Sebastian River before exploding for 21 points in the third quarter for a 35-3 win.

2. West Orange (10-1) – Warriors, who scored 42 points in the first half to cruise past Boone, will host Apopka in a region semifinal rematch this week.

3. Apopka (10-1) – Blue Darters blanked West Orange 42-0 in the region semifinals last year en route to the state title. Will history repeat itself on Friday?

4. Cocoa (9-2) – Tigers have won five straight games by 35 or more points going into Friday’s region final against Avon Park.

5. Lake Brantley (11-0) – Patriots ended a run of seven consecutive first round playoff losses by running past Jacksonville Sandalwood 44-30.

6. Osceola (10-1) – Kowboys face a huge challenge this week as Vero Beach, the No. 2 ranked team in Class 8A, comes to Kissimmee for the region semifinals.

7. Dr. Phillips (8-3) – Panthers will host a playoff rematch with Manatee, which ended DP’s season with a late field goal last year.

8. Bishop Moore (10-1) – Hornets bounced back from their first defeat with a complete effort against Palm Bay in the 5A region quarterfinals.

9. Heritage (9-2) – Panthers throttled Deltona 56-14 to earn a shot at Mainland this week in a game that will be televised by BHSN.

10. Viera (7-4) – Hawks made history by defeating St. Cloud for their first ever playoff win. Next up is a region semifinal date with Martin County.

11. Merritt Island (8-3) – Mustangs are in the second round of the playoffs for the sixth straight year.

12. Orange City University (**0-10) – Joy of first ever playoff appearance was erased when Titans forfeited all of their games and were removed from the 8A bracket.  

13. Palm Bay (*8-3) – Return to the postseason was short-lived for the Pirates, who got bounced by Bishop Moore 38-7 in 5A region quarterfinals.

14. Oak Ridge (*8-3) – Pioneers advanced to the playoffs for the third straight season for the first time in program history.

15. South Sumter (*8-3) – After starting the season 6-0, the Raiders lost three of their final five games and were shutout by Santa Fe in the first round of the playoffs.

16. Hagerty (*8-3) – Historic season for the Huskies included their first district title and most victories in a season.  

17. Timber Creek (*7-4) – Wolves, who lost to Apopka in the first round of the playoffs, advanced to the postseason for the ninth time in the last 10 years

18. Oviedo (*7-4) – Lions, who were awarded a playoff spot when University forfeited victories, turned the ball over twice in the fourth quarter in a 24-20 loss to Jacksonville Mandarin.

19. Edgewater (*7-4) – Eagles let a first half lead slip away against Gainesville Buchholz and were doomed by a field goal in the closing seconds. 

20. Seminole (*6-4) – ‘Noles beat Merritt Island in the regular season finale to finish above .500 for the first time since 2012.
