Lake Mary Prep made a clean sweep of both the boys and girls titles at the 1A State Golf Championships at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills on Wednesday.

It’s the second title in a row for the Lady Griffins who finished with 573 points, led by 8th grader Mimi Chen who placed 2nd individually with a 140. Lake Mary Prep had a total of three top 6 finishers.

The 1A State Champion for the girls was Kelsey Zeng of First Academy. The junior totaled a 139 over the two-day event.

For the boys, Lake Mary Prep won the team total with 615 points. Junior Thomas Allkins was the top finisher for the Griffins, coming in tied for 6th with a 149.

Andrew Kozan of King’s Academy took 1st with a total of 141, Greyson Porter of Shorecrest Prep coming in 2nd with 142 points.
