In a critical early season district matchup, the Apopka Blue Darters used a 7-0 run in the first set and never looked back cruising to a 3-0 victory over the visiting Olympia Titans on the BHSN Game of the Week.

Apopka senior rightside hitter Carli Anderson had 4 kills in the first set including the set-winning kill as the Blue Darters utilized a 7-0 run to win 25-18.

Anderson led the Blue Darters with 9 kills and 1 block, while junior outside hitter Nicole Dominguez added 7 kills.

Apopka once again used a fast pace to jump out to a 17-7 lead in the second set, cruising to a dominating 25-13 victory. The Blue Darters shut down the Titans in the third set as well coasting to a 25-16 win to sweep Olympia and move to 2-1 in Class 8A District 3 and 5-1 overall. Apopka will travel to Oak Ridge on Thursday.

Olympia falls to 3-2 and will host a West Orange squad that defeated Apopka last Thursday in a crucial district matchup. The Titans were led by senior middle blocker Martina Shamley who had 7 kills and 3 blocks.
