Memories came flooding back to Seminole’s Ray Ray Armstrong Friday night.

Memories of his high school state championship runs, the wins and all the faces of the people who showed support throughout his career.

“It was just an amazing feeling,” Armstrong said.

Before Friday's district contest against Lake Mary, Seminole retired Armstrong's No. 9 jersey.

"It means a lot, this is my home town and it’s always going to be my home town,” Armstrong said. “I just like to come back and see the respect that I get and you know still get the love and support from the fans."

Armstrong graduated from Seminole High School in 2009 and played for the University of Miami before being signed as an undrafted free agent by the St. Louis Rams in 2013.
