After playing one season for Anwil Wloclawek in Poland, former UCF Men’s Basketball star Keith Clanton is set to play the upcoming campaign with the Seoul Samsung Thunders in South Korea.

Clanton, who graduated from UCF in 2013 as the all-time leading rebounder in program history, started his professional career with Anwil Wloclawek in 2013-14. He led the Polish squad with 6.5 rebounds per game, adding 11.8 points per contest over 15 outings.

“My first year of playing pro ball was a different experience because it was my first time playing away from home,” Clanton said. “I enjoyed the experience and it was good for me to learn a different style of basketball.”

Clanton is a native of Orlando, played high school at Orlando Christian Prep, and then came to UCF for his collegiate career. He will next move on to play basketball in just the second place away from The City Beautiful, Seoul.

“I chose to play in South Korea this year because it was a great opportunity for me and I think it will help me become a better player,” Clanton said. “The thing I am most excited about this upcoming year is coming off of an injury and proving to people that I am better than I ever was.”

The Seoul Samsung Thunders play in the Korean Basketball League. The season is set to begin in October.
