Bailey Johnson, a junior middle blocker for the Winter Springs Bears, made a verbal commitment to play volleyball at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Johnson registered 535 kills and a .376 hitting percentage through her freshman and sophomore campaigns with Lake Howell, and Winter Springs respectively. This season she will lead one of the top 7A teams in the state.
Johnson, who has garnered interest from schools in the SEC, Big Ten, and ACC, tells BHSN that she chose because of the program's coaching staff, llocation, academics reputation, and the prospect of make an impact early in her college career at a midsize division one program.
