For the third consecutive year, the team from Lake Mary won the CFHSHL title, but this time needed two overtimes to defeat their rivals from Orange County, 6-5.

Lake Mary defenseman Johnny Brockman skated in one on one against Orange County goalie Craig LeVasseur and put the puck low on the stick side to win the game, after both teams failed to score in the first overtime. Brockman was named the FBC Mortgage Player of the Game and added two assists on the day. LeVasseur had 38 saves on the night in a losing effort.

Orange County’s Cameron Cipollone led all scorers with two goals, including the game-tying goal in the third period off an offensive zone faceoff with under 90 seconds to play in the game. Orange County battled back after Lake Mary’s Thomas Wray scored mid-way through the third period to give Lake Mary a 5-3 lead. Vincent Petrone scored for Orange County to cut the lead to 5-4, before Cipollone’s blast found the back of the net to send the game to overtime.
