The Winter Park Wildcats shut out the 9th ranked and top seeded Timber Creek Wolves 7-0 in the 8A District 5 girls softball title game on Friday night.
The Wildcats (11-5) were able to score three unearned runs in the top of the third inning, and second baseman Aubrey Craver hit a solo home run to left in the top of the fourth to take a commanding 4-0 lead.
The Wolves (16-6), who went a perfect 8-0 in regular season district play, still make the 8A FHSAA playoff field as the runners up.
