It's been a perfect season for Kaden Funk.

The Olympia sophomore caps off his undefeated season (17-0) with a state championship in the Class 4A boys overall singles competition by beating Palm Beach Dwyer's David Engel 1-6, 6-2, 6-1.

Tampa Plant girls were stopped short of winning its fourth straight team title but junior Erica Oosterhout helped to bring home some hardware for the Panthers.  She defeated Lithia Newsome's Kylie Moulin 6-1, 6-1 to win the 4A girls overall singles title.  Oosterhout also took home gold with teammate Gabrielle Rodriguez after beating East Lake's Angel Deng and Kimberly Herrock for the overall doubles title.

The Dr. Phillips girls tied Boca Raton and Plant for second place with 10 points in overall team standings behind 4A champion Cypress Bay, who finished with 13. 

Winter Park's boys team took third place with 9 points.  Coral Gables won with 14 points.

In Class 2A, Boca Ciega's Dan Stefan won the overall singles championship by defeating Gulliver Prep's Chase Perez-Blanco 6-2, 6-2.

Class 3A was also housed at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs.  Top-seeded Alexis Franco of Largo won in straight sets to advance to the semifinal round of the girls individual singles to face Pensacola Washington's Geetha Velusamy.  Lake Nona's Priyanka Shah will also move on in the same bracket to face Naples Nikki Kallenburg.

In the boys No. 1 singles, Matanzas Davey Roberts will square off with Tampa King's Vignesh Bhethanabolta in the semifinals.
