FINAL GIRLS LAX RANKINGS – May 5th
The top girls lacrosse teams in Central Florida, as selected by the Bright House Sports Network staff:

1. Lake Brantley (15-4) - Patriots rattled off eight straight wins to close the season( including an 11-9 playoff triumph over #2 Winter Springs) before losing a 15-14 heartbreaker to state finalist Ponte Vedra in the region semis.
2. Winter Springs (12-6) - Bears were the strongest team in the region all season long, but were knocked out of the playoffs by #2 Lake Brantley in the first round.
3. Olympia (18-6) - Titans upset #4 Oviedo en route to a first time appearance in the state final four, but were humbled by Ponte Vedra 12-5 in the semis. Brooke Tobin's girls will no doubt draw upon that experience next season.
4. Oviedo (16-7) - Lions were destined for Bradenton, but #3 Olympia had other plans, pulling off the upset 11-10 victory in the 3rd round of the playoffs.
5. Bishop Moore (15-3) - Hornets' only losses came to Bartram Triail, #3 Olympia, and #4 Oviedo.
