Jarkeice Davis rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns to help lead Port St. Joe to a 16-0 victory over Jasper Hamilton County in the Class 1A State Championship Game.

The win produced the Sharks fourth state title and first since they were crowned the 1A champs in 2005.

Davis scored both touchdowns in the first half, while the Sharks tacked on a safety near the end of the third quarter.

Hamilton County had a shot to put points on the board with a little more than three minutes in the game, but Sharks defensive back Jak Riley picked off a pass at Port St. Joe’s five-yard line to secure the shutout.

It was Port St. Joe’s third-consecutive shutout and seventh overall this season.
