Bishop Moore senior running back Marcus Williams trekked 139-yards keeping the offense moving and in control as his team earned its 12th consecutive victory this season over Merritt Island in a big 5A-Region semifinal playoff.

“Marcus is really good about getting positive yardage all the time,” Hornets coach Matt Hedrick said.

“He’s great at breaking tackles and dragging people for extra yards, getting yards after contact. So he’s really key for us to be able to move the ball when things aren’t going well.”

Williams has been a huge contributor to the Hornets success—he’s tallied 26 total touchdowns and over 1200 rushing yards this season.

“We knew we couldn’t lose that game so we all knew we wanted to get on to the next level,” Williams said.

“ I have the will to keep going, I know I have to keep fighting in my head and not stop my feet just have to keep going and fight for every inch for these guys I am playing next to, to win this game.”
