The Lakeland Victory Christian Storm defeated the South Daytona Warner Christian Eagles 41-34 in 2A region final football action on Friday night.

Senior Brice Ford's short touchdown run gave the hometown Storm (10-1) a 14-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. The score was set up by a long pass play from quarterback Caleb Lewis to Alvin Harper Jr.

The Eagles (6-5) battled back to tie the game at 14 in the second quarter, when quarterback Anthony Butler found senior John Harris in the endzone on a 4th and goal play inside the 5-yard line.

Victory Christian had a 6-point cushion at halftime, but the game was tied at 27 at the end of the third quarter. The Storm outscored the Eagles 14-7 in the 4th quarter to preserve the victory.

Victory Christian will host North Florida Christian in the 2A state semifinals on Friday night.
