Evans Trojans forward Kerry Blackshear has committed to play basketball for head coach Buzz Williams at Virginia Tech, according to a posting at TechHoops.com. Blackshear, a 6-9, 225 pound senior is rated as the #27 power forward in the 2015 class by ESPN.
Blackshear also had offers from Arkansas, Boston College, Clemson, Miami, and SMU, and helped lead the Trojans to the 2014 8A state championship game. He scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in the 66-64 overtime loss to Winter Park.
His Trojans teammate C.J. Williamson also has an offer in hand from the Hokies.
