Edgewater is now 3-0 in shootouts this season.

The host Eagles were crowned the 6A District 10 Champion for the first time in four years with a 55-44 win over South Lake.

It was a track meet in the first half, as the two teams combined for 82 points. The Edgewater defense intercepted Nick Guidetti's first pass of the game, which led to the first score of the night on a Craig Rucker 7-yard run. Rucker totaled 265 yards and five touchdowns, two on the ground, another two in the air and a 67-yard kickoff return.

Running Back Chuckie Hutchinson was South Lake's top performer. He rushed for 152 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns and added a receiving score.

Edgewater will host the 6A District 9 Runner-Up, which will be the loser of Friday's Mainland-Seabreeze game, while South Lake will travel to the 6A-9 District Champion.
