Garrett Williams is the best football player to come out of the First Academy. That’s the compliment his head coach, Leroy Kinard, paid him during the Under Amour All-America Game presentation.

Williams, a Clemson commit, is the No. 2-ranked tight end in the ESPN 300 and the first All-American for the Royals.

“It feels like a huge honor and I’m so blessed to be able to experience this,” Williams said.

There’s been some under recruited but very good football players to come out of TFA, to be recognized as one of the best is a true honor.”

Dozens of family, teammates and coaches stood inside the TFA gym on Tuesday to watch Williams receive his game jersey.
