We all know Gibbs sprinter Trayvon Bromell is fast.

Saturday, he took fast to another level.

Bromell, arguably the top track athlete in Florida, let alone the Tampa Bay-area, became the first high school athlete to ever run the 100-meter dash in under 10 seconds, setting a mark of 9.99 seconds in the Great Southwest Track and Field Classic in New Mexico.

Granted, his time was wind-aided. The official results put the wind reading at a 4.0, but still, he out-paced the rest of the field by 0.44 seconds.

"Can't believe I'm the First high schooler to run 9.9 in the 100 #Blessed," the Baylor signee tweeted.

"I don't care if its over the wind availability, I still did [it] man. God is great," he later said.

Bromell has enjoyed a great senior season. He won his first-ever state championships, taking home gold in the 100 meters, with a time of 10.14, and the 4x100 relay (42.26). He's also run in a number of national events, including the Grand Prix Adidas Dream 100.
