Here's what's ahead for Central Florida's weather for the upcoming Fourth of July weekend:

  • Highs in the 90s, but it will feel close to 100
  • High rain chances through the weekend
  • Poor surfing conditions Friday and Saturday

Showers and storms will continue to dissipate after dark with clouds slowly breaking up overnight. Temperatures will fall into the middle 70s. We’ll take elevated rain chances with us into the holiday weekend, with heat and humidity sticking around too.

Little change in our overall weather pattern as we approach the holiday weekend. We’ll keep afternoon/evening rain chances at 50 percent Friday through the Fourth of July, with a few strong storms possible each day. Highs stay in the 90s, and the feels like temperature near 100. No break in this pattern is anticipated through the next seven days.

Poor surfing conditions are in the cards for Friday and Saturday along the coast, with a small east to east-southeast trade wind swell and wave heights to knee high. Keep an eye on the sky for storms heading into the busy holiday weekend, and make sure you drink plenty of water and sunscreen.
