Here's a look at the forecast for Tuesday in Central Florida:

  • Hot and muggy weather
  • Afternoon storms will develop
  • Expect more of the same throughout the week

Expect partly cloudy conditions with temps dipping into the low 70s by 6:31 a.m. sunrise.  We can expect afternoon and evening sea breeze storms to form each day through the week with highs in the low 90s and lows in the low to middle 70s.

Rain chances anticipated this week on a day to day basis with afternoon sea breeze showers and storms possible through the week.  Rain chance is around 60 percent for the first few days, then drops to 40 to 50 percent at the end of the workweek into the weekend.

High temperatures will be just slightly above our normal 91 degree high by 1 to 3 degrees.  Low temperatures will also range above normal, falling to 74 to 76 all week long.  It’s all quiet in the tropics for now with no formation expected over the next five days.

Conditions remain poor for surfers Tuesday with wave heights only running 1 to 2 feet.  Not as bad for swimmers since the rip current threat remains low.  Water temperatures are warm running from 81 to 86 degrees.  Ultraviolet Index is going to be at 11 on a scale from 1 to 12, so you can burn in a matter of minutes without proper sunscreen.
