A 13-year-old boy was found shot at Grant Street and University Boulevard in Melbourne early Monday morning, according to police.

Just after 5 a.m., police responded to the area and found a wounded teenager and gave him medical aid. The child is in intensive care at a hospital.

According to police, a dark-colored sedan was involved in the shooting, but there are currently no suspects.
